Islamic Urban Art - Akmel Syed 08/09/2009
Akmel Syed is 18 years of age, attended Humberside Collegiate Institute, and will be going to Ryerson University for Computer Science in September, InshAllah. His love for art has been in development since he was a child. As a kid, he spent a lot of time with his colouring books, doodling away. After being greatly encouraged by his peers, he gained the confidence to showcase his graffiti-style urban art to a wider audience. Akmel spends a good deal of time contemplating what his next piece of artwork should be before starting his next piece. His main sources of inspiration are Islam, and he is passionate about spending his free time productively. His artwork reflects his fun side!
