Salma Hussain - Great Mosque of Xi'an, China 05/01/2010
Salma Hussain is a University of Toronto Scarborough campus student, in her second year. She is doing a double major in integrative biology and psychology. Art is a hobby and a talent of hers: she won an art award several years ago, but subsequently never took any art classes. She prefers to develop her style on her own time. As a side project, Hussain started The University of Toronto Art Appreciation Club (UTAAC) this year. As well, she is the Arts Editor for Ar-Risala, the UTSC Muslim Students' Association newsletter. The piece that she drew is the great mosque of Xi'an, in China. She sketched it from many different angles as well, but the piece here shows the front, but in different shades/textures. |
