The greatest thing my parents taught me was about Islam.
They taught me to pray five times a day, and I still remember the times we wake up for the prayers before dawn.
The Goosebumps which appear on my arms make my soul feel calm.
As I feel closer to the One who gave me this perfect imaan.
My parent's loving gaze is the thing which helps me overcome all those hills.
With their presence I feel like I can accomplish anything, my whole existence feels filled.
The benevolence of their character makes me ecstatic and fills my essence with zeal and passion and I know this is done by my own free will.
I want to do everything in my power to bestow upon them bliss, as I feel so good when if feel their sweet kiss.
When I see a smile on their heavenly faces, I feel joy words cannot depict.
"God bless my parents" these words are on the tip of my tongue and they seem to rise every time I see my parents doing the hard work that they do.
The droplets of sweat that they perspire fuse into my heart. They are the ones who make me smart.
It is their love that coils within my soul and leaves no room for open holes.
I can feel their hands placed upon mine leading me towards the light, covering my life’s goals.
When they taught me to read and recite the holy Quran, they taught me my life’s role.
Like I said before,
the greatest thing my parents taught me was about Islam. They taught me to pray five times a day and I remember the times we wake up for the prayer before dawn.
So that is why, I thank Allah everyday for my parents.
