Noor Baig is beginning her second year of studies at the University of Toronto, with interests too varied to be able to pick just a major or two. Of these, Architecture and Design are among her favourites, and she finds photography to be an abstracted extension of these passions. Her imagination often runs along or behind her photographic works, as is the case with this particular project and she likes to create short backstories to accompany the images.


Entering a city, coming from a town full of nothing but it's own smallness, there is so much to be seen. People see streets; I see skies. People see crowds, traffic, life; I see dreams.  Standing tall and proud, the sparkling evidences of someone's success create this labyrinth that none can see around. They draw all eyes to the skies that they brag of sharing company with, packed together one after another, competing to show their superiority. However far they reach, their fate is to be no more than the foil to those greater. Their beauty is that they reflect those they attempt to imitate. They all reach for the sky; their dark secret lies in the ending they draw. Once they believe they've touched the sky, they stop, unaware of the possibility of anything beyond these mysterious and volatile wisps they naïvely presume they have mastered.
