Tayammum (dry ablution):
In the absence of water, there are two options for performing wudu:
1) Strike both your hands with fingers stretched on clean earth, raise them and blow off the excessive dust, and then pass them over your face and rub the two hands in and out up to the wrists.
2) Strike both hands on the earth, blow the excessive dust and pass them over your face. Strike the hands on earth again and rub each hand up to the elbow starting with the right hand.
After either one, one should recite the du’a recited after performing normal ablution.
